Rummy is one of the most interesting kind of card games. Many of us love to play rummy online as well as offline. But are we all familiar with the basic rummy terms? Check them out: DEAL This term particularly refers to the act of dealing that takes part initially. In Indian rummy, 13 cards are dealt with each player. SORT A player must sort the cards so that he'/she could easily differentiate between them. It will also help the player to make decisions faster. The player could easily recognize which card he needs and which card is unwanted and can be discarded. DISCARD This is another important term that every player does when his turn comes. He has to pick a card and at the same time discard the one which is unwanted OPEN DECK An open deck basically comprises of the cards that are being discarded by your opponents. The face value of the cards discarded by your opponents and you can pick them if you need them at your turn! CLOSED DECK After the cards are dealt, the remaining cards are kept in the closed deck. The face value of these cards is not visible. One can draw cards from the closed deck during the game. FINISH SLOT This is slot where we enter the last card! Once you have formed sets and sequences, it's time to discard the last card. The last card to be discarded is put into the finish slot.
